Summer may be ending, but Wyre has been heating up. This is a hefty Release Recap and there are some important updates for partners so be sure to read below.

What’s New

Action Required for White Label Card Processing and Apple Pay Parters: Authentication Widget

Last month we mentioned a necessary change coming to all white-label card processing and Apple Pay integrations. This new element, the Authentication Widget, will allow Wyre to protect our end users and partners from fraud by collecting authentication requirements for specific wallet orders.

All partners with white label integrations (card processing and Apple Pay) are required to implement the Authentication Widget before October 31, 2022 in order to avoid service disruptions. Implementation is straightforward and a walkthrough can be found in our documentation here.

Wyre Checkout: Single Sign-On Update

The beta phase for our SSO update has been successful and we are hearing good feedback from our partners. This week we will be rolling out the SSO functionality across most of our partners. No code change is required. For more information, refer to the following:

The Ethereum Merge

The most anticipated event in blockchain development is coming to our doorstep mid-September. While this is a very exciting time, it is also a time to err on the side of caution. In the coming days, we will release more details on how Wyre will be handling the Merge and what that means for our partners.

Higher Limit International

Our international users (non-US) can now access higher limit transactions after supplying additional KYC. The updated limits can be found here.

Instant Swaps Upgrade

The Swaps API has been upgraded and now has:

  • Rate locking: guaranteed amount of `destCurrency`, so long as the transaction is completed before the swap expires.
  • Destination amount specification: `destAmount` is now specifiable

Check the Swaps docs here.

ACH Failure Notifications Update

We have updated the messages to be more specific when an ACH transaction fails. Users will now receive one of the following messages after a failed ACH transaction:

  • An unexpected error occurred while connecting with your bank. Please try again later.
  • Insufficient available balance. Please deposit additional funds or adjust your purchase amount and try again.
  • We are unable to complete the transaction. We have returned the deposit to the funding account.

Display dynamic fees in Checkout Widget

Fees previously were hardcoded in the “Choose Payment Method” screen of the Checkout Widget. Fees are now displayed dynamically on a per partner basis.

AVAX-X transaction issues

There was a bug that was preventing AVAX-X transactions from completing. This has been fixed.

That’s one of our longer Release Recaps, but there is much more to come. Feel free to share these notes with all your friends. If they would like to sign up for our Release Recap, have them visit this link.
